My June 2020 Simple Woman Daybook

For Today6/1/20

Looking out my window
I woke up this morning to temps in the 70's. It was nice and sunny outside.
Our high for today is 82 degrees.

I am thinking
About the past two weeks. We had to attend a memorial service each week. The ones who passed were of friends of the family. It was not COVID-19 related.

I am thankful
We got to visit with friends and loved ones back home where hubby is from (even though it was a sad occasion).

One of my favorite things
When we all are in the kitchen cooking together as a family.

I am creating
Trying to finish up my June layout in my Bullet Journal.

I am wearing
A black and white striped dress and black sandals.

I am reading
Nothing at the moment.

I’m watching
Random movies on T.V. with hubby and son.

I’m listening to
The sound of my fan blowing in the background.

I am hoping
No one else passes away anytime soon. It has been an emotional two weeks.

I am learning
My plans are to start meal prep for myself so I can control my portion sizes. I'm learning all about how to organize/put the daily meals together for the week.

In my kitchen

I made some Elderberry Syrup for the first time. I normally buy ours at the Farmer’s Market. This took only 10 minutes to cook in the Instant Pot!

Something of Value
Here is an article called “Are we blaspheming” by Nancy Campbell that has a lot of great points to ponder.

Post Script
I can't believe it's been nearly 10 years since I went natural. That means I no longer put a perm in my hair to straighten it. Now I just wear it in its natural curly state.

Shared Quote
“How we spend our days is of course how we spend our lives.”
-Emily Dickenson

A moment from my day
I was busy doing my hair most of the day so I have nothing to share.

Closing Notes
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you get a chance to read other ladies Simple Woman Journal posts. Just head on over to our host site to see more.
